I am the granddaughter of Julia Claire McManemin (our family branch spelling) Higbee (1903-1988) My ggg grandfather was Patrick McManemin (1812-1888) who came from Ireland to Philadelphia, PA. The research of our greatest family historian was done by Joseph P. McMenamin and it is truly a gift for all our future generations. There are no family historians today that can reach back in time without the research and work of this wonderful master historian. For family history researchers, this is the place Joseph P. I was born June 6, 1946, son of Barbara Jean McMenamin-Montgomery and James Robert Montgomery. Barbara was brother of Joseph P McMenamin and one of two daughters of John Henry McMenamin, son of Patrick J McMenamin who homesteaded in rural Dekalb Illinois, USA. My brother, William J Montgomery, and I are collecting and scanning as many old photographs as possible into an online archive for interested family members.
